Whatnot Seller Hub: Where It Is and How to Use Every Tool
Independent guide, not affiliated with Whatnot. Some links are affiliate links. Disclosure.
The Whatnot Seller Hub is the seller dashboard where you manage listings, schedule shows, handle orders and shipping labels, track payouts and view analytics. Seller tools only appear once your seller application is approved. You can reach them from your profile or account area in the app, and many sellers prefer the web version on a computer for listing and order management.

The Whatnot Seller Hub is your control center as a seller. It is where you create listings, schedule shows, manage orders and shipping labels, track payouts and look at how your shop is performing. Once your seller application is approved, almost everything you do outside a live stream happens here.
New sellers often ask two questions first: where is the seller hub on Whatnot, and how do you turn seller tools on? This guide answers both, then walks through each part of the seller dashboard and how to use it in a practical weekly routine.
A quick note on accuracy: Whatnot updates its app and website regularly, so labels, icons and menu positions change. We describe each tool by what it does rather than giving click-by-click paths that may go out of date. If something has moved, the Whatnot help center is the best place to check. For the bigger picture of selling, see our guide on how to sell on Whatnot.
Where Is the Seller Hub on Whatnot?
Your seller tools are only visible after Whatnot approves you as a seller. Once approved, you can usually find them in two places:
- In the mobile app: through your profile or account area, where seller options such as your shop, shows, orders and payouts appear alongside your buyer settings.
- On the web: through the seller section of Whatnot's website when you are logged in on a computer.
The web version is especially useful for desk work: creating many listings, editing inventory, printing labels and reviewing analytics. The app is handy for quick checks and for going live from your phone.
How to Turn On Seller Tools on Whatnot
For most people, there is no switch to flip. Seller tools are enabled when your seller application is approved. If you are approved but still cannot see them, work through these steps:
- Confirm your approval. Check your email and app notifications for the approval message. If you have not applied, see our Whatnot seller application guide.
- Update the app to the latest version.
- Log out and back in to refresh your account permissions.
- Complete setup steps. Payout details, tax information and identity checks may be required before some tools unlock. Our account setup guide covers verification.
- Try the web version on a computer to see whether the tools appear there.
- Contact support if the tools are still missing. See our guide to Whatnot customer service.
If your application is still pending or was rejected, the tools will not appear. Our guide to a Whatnot application denied or pending explains what to do.
A Tour of the Whatnot Seller Dashboard
The specific layout varies, but the seller dashboard is typically organized around a handful of core areas.
| Area | What you do there | Deeper guide |
|---|---|---|
| Inventory and listings | Create, edit, relist and organize items; bulk uploads | Listing guide |
| Shows | Schedule shows, set thumbnails, attach listings | Going live |
| Orders and shipping | View sales, print labels, mark shipments, handle issues | Shipping guide |
| Payouts and earnings | Balances, payout history, bank details | Payouts guide |
| Analytics | Sales, viewers, followers and show performance | Analytics guide |
| Settings | Shipping preferences, shop details, notifications, vacation mode | Vacation mode |
Settings and Shop Profile
The settings area is easy to ignore until something goes wrong, so it is worth a careful first pass. This is typically where you manage your shop name, bio and profile image, your ship-from address, shipping preferences such as combined shipping or caps on the maximum shipping a buyer pays, notification preferences, and options for pausing your shop, such as vacation mode.
Spend ten minutes here before your first show. Make sure your ship-from address is correct, because it prints on every label. Turn on order and message notifications so offline sales do not slip past you. Review your shipping preferences so buyers who win multiple items get the combined shipping they expect. And write a short shop bio that tells visitors what you sell, how often you go live and how fast you ship. Our Whatnot shop branding guide has ideas for making your profile look professional.
Inventory and Listings
This is where most of your preparation time goes. In the inventory area you can typically:
- Create single listings with title, description, photos, category, condition, quantity, price or starting bid and shipping profile.
- Bulk upload many items at once, often using a spreadsheet template on the web version. This is a big time-saver for card and comic sellers with large inventories.
- Edit and relist items that did not sell, or duplicate similar listings to save typing.
- Organize items so you can attach the right batch to each show.
- Choose availability, such as whether an item is only for a show or also available in your shop as a marketplace listing.
The single most important field for avoiding problems is the shipping profile. Weigh items packed and choose the matching weight tier. Read more in Whatnot shipping profiles.
Shows: Scheduling and Show Tools
The shows area is where you plan your streams. Scheduling ahead matters because followers can save upcoming shows and receive reminders. When you create a show you typically set:
- A clear, searchable title and category
- A date and start time
- A thumbnail image (see our Whatnot thumbnail guide)
- The listings you will sell
- Optional settings such as moderators or co-hosts
During a live show, the in-stream controls let you start auctions, set timers, run giveaways, launch flash sales, use randomizer or wheel-style tools where available, pin Buy It Now items, and send your audience to another seller with a raid. Each of these has its own guide in our Live Shows section, such as giveaways, flash sales and raids.
Adding Moderators and Co-Hosts
Show settings are also where you typically add helpers. Moderators help manage chat, answer questions and keep things friendly while you sell; co-hosting lets you run a show with another seller. Choose people you trust, agree in advance on how they should handle questions about pricing, shipping and disputes, and grant only the permissions they need. Never share your account login with a helper. Our guides to Whatnot moderators and co-hosting on Whatnot cover setup and etiquette.
Orders, Shipping Labels and Customer Issues
After every show, the orders area becomes your to-do list. Here you can generally:
- See all orders grouped by buyer, with combined orders bundled so the buyer pays shipping once.
- Print prepaid labels provided by Whatnot. A 4x6 thermal printer is fastest. See how to print Whatnot shipping labels.
- Print packing slips if available, to check each package contains the right items.
- Track shipment status as carriers scan packages.
- Handle cancellations, refunds and issues through the order tools and support. See how to cancel an order on Whatnot and Whatnot refunds and returns.
Shipping on time is one of the biggest factors in your seller standing. Whatnot commonly expects sellers to ship within two business days; confirm the current requirement in the help center and our guide to how long Whatnot sellers have to ship.
Payouts and Earnings
The payouts area shows what you have earned, what is pending and what has been paid. Typically:
- Pending earnings are from orders that have not yet shipped, been delivered or cleared processing.
- Available balance is ready to pay out.
- Payout history lists each transfer to your bank account.
- Faster payout options may be offered for a fee.
Your earnings are shown after Whatnot's fees. The commonly reported US fees are 8% commission for most categories plus 2.9% + $0.30 processing per order. Confirm rates on Whatnot's fee page and in our Whatnot seller fees guide. Keep your own records too; you will need them for taxes, and all profit is taxable income whether or not you receive a 1099-K.
Analytics: Using Your Seller Data
Seller analytics help you decide what to sell, when to stream and how to price. Depending on what Whatnot currently offers, you may see sales totals, number of orders, average sale price, viewers, followers gained and performance by show.
Questions worth asking your data after each show:
- Which items or categories sold above expectations, and which sold below cost?
- At what point did viewers join and leave?
- Which time slots bring the most engaged buyers?
- Are repeat buyers growing?
Our Whatnot analytics guide explains how to turn these numbers into decisions, and Whatnot seller tools covers third-party tools that some sellers add.
A Weekly Seller Hub Routine
Using the hub consistently is more valuable than knowing every feature. A simple weekly rhythm might look like this:
- Daily: check orders, print labels and ship anything outstanding. Reply to buyer messages.
- Before each show: create or attach listings, confirm shipping profiles, set your thumbnail and share the show link.
- After each show: review analytics, relist unsold items you still want to move, and schedule your next show.
- Weekly: reconcile payouts against your own records and update your bookkeeping. See Whatnot bookkeeping.
- Before time off: turn on vacation mode or pause listings so you do not get orders you cannot ship.
If you want a structured plan for the business side, including sourcing and scaling, the free Marketplace SuperHeroes workshop is aimed at beginners. It is not affiliated with Whatnot, and its organizers state results are not typical and are not guaranteed.
Troubleshooting Common Seller Hub Problems
A few issues come up repeatedly for new sellers. These general fixes solve most of them:
- A listing will not attach to a show. Check that it is active, has a quantity available and is not already sold or reserved in another show.
- A shipping label will not print correctly. Confirm your printer is set to the right label size (4x6 for most thermal printers) and that scaling is set to actual size rather than fit to page.
- A buyer's items did not combine. Check whether the purchases happened within the window Whatnot uses for bundling and review your shipping settings. Our bundle shipping guide explains how combining works.
- Payout looks lower than expected. Remember fees are deducted, and some orders may still be pending until they ship and clear.
- Something has moved after an update. Search the help center for the feature name; layouts change more often than features disappear.
If none of these help, contact Whatnot support with screenshots and order numbers so they can investigate quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the seller hub on Whatnot?
Once you are an approved seller, your seller tools are generally reached from your profile or account area in the Whatnot app, and through the seller section of Whatnot's website on a computer. The exact label and location can change between app updates. If you cannot find it, check that your seller application is approved and search the Whatnot help center for the current location.
How do you turn on seller tools on Whatnot?
Seller tools are switched on when Whatnot approves your seller application. There is no separate toggle for most sellers. If you are approved but cannot see seller options, update the app, log out and back in, and confirm that payout, tax and verification steps are complete. If the tools still do not appear, contact Whatnot support.
Is the Whatnot seller dashboard available on desktop?
Yes. Many sellers use the web version of their seller tools on a computer for tasks like creating listings in bulk, managing inventory, printing shipping labels and reviewing analytics, because a larger screen and keyboard make those jobs faster. Going live is usually done from the mobile app, though some sellers stream from a computer using supported setups.
Can moderators access my Whatnot Seller Hub?
Moderators are generally given permissions to help manage chat and certain show functions, not full access to your seller account. You should never share your login with anyone. Check Whatnot's current moderator settings to see exactly which permissions you can grant, and give helpers only the access they need.
Where do I see my Whatnot payouts in the Seller Hub?
Your seller tools include a payouts or earnings area showing pending balances, available funds and payout history. Earnings typically become available after orders ship and clear, and standard payouts go to your linked bank account. Faster options may be offered for a fee. Check the help center for current payout timing.
