Editorial Policy and Sources
Our goal is to publish the most useful, accurate guides to selling on Whatnot. Here's how we work.
How we research
We base our guides on Whatnot's publicly available information, widely reported fee structures and policies, reputable news coverage of the company, and established reselling practices. Where fees, features or policies change frequently, we say so and point you to the official source to confirm.
What we won't do
- Invent statistics, earnings, testimonials or reviews.
- Claim firsthand experiences we haven't had.
- Promise income, approval, rankings or results.
- Publish specific promo codes or support phone numbers we can't verify.
Fees and numbers
Fee examples use the commonly reported US rates in 2026 (8% commission on most categories plus 2.9% + $0.30 processing). Worked examples are illustrations. Always confirm current rates on Whatnot's official fee page.
Tax, legal and financial topics
Pages that touch on taxes, business structure or legal requirements provide general information only and are not professional advice. Consult a qualified accountant or attorney for your situation.
Corrections and updates
Live selling changes fast. We review and update guides as fees, features and policies evolve, and each guide shows its last-updated date.
